1. Types of information we collect

  • 1.1. We may collect the following types of information:
    • Information you provide: When you register on the Platform, you will be required to provide us with your name, location, email address, mobile number, display picture, social media account ID (where submitted by you), and other relevant profile information. Additionally, you may be required to provide your bank account details when using the add cash or cash withdrawal options for Cash Games, and your Permanent Account Number (PAN) when using the cash withdrawal option, where applicable. In some cases, such as referral programs or team play options, you may provide us with personal information of another person.
    • Transaction details initiated by you: If you initiate a cash transaction in relation to your RC Account, we receive and store details pertaining to such transaction, including the payment method used, the amount added to the RC Account, and the date and time of the transaction.
    • Interaction information: When you interact with our customer support over any medium, such interactions may be recorded and stored.
    • Technical information about you: We automatically collect certain information from you when you use the Platform, including your IP address, location, other unique device identifiers, your browser type, language, the URL of the website which you may have used to reach our Platform, and cookies.
    • Usage information: When you play the game of Rummy offered by us on the Platform, including Cash Games and non-cash games available in various formats and variations, we collect details related to the manner of your use of and interaction with our Platform and other Users. This includes the date and time during which you accessed the Platform, location from where you accessed the Platform, the amount of money spent on each Game, the duration of gameplay, and the formats and variations of Games you participate in.
    • Messages: When you use our Platform to communicate, we receive and store the messages you may send or receive on the Platform, and any other content you may upload or share.
    • Cookies: We use cookies, which are small text files that uniquely identify your browser and enable us to recognize the information you have consented to give us. Cookies do not contain any personal information, and you may choose what cookies to allow by managing your browser settings. You can delete or disable cookies entirely, but doing so may impact your overall experience with our Platform. Cookies we collect are mainly used to serve advertising banners, and in doing so, we may use third-party services.
    • Web beacons: We use web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs) to understand how you interact with our Platform and its content. If you disable cookies, web beacons may also become ineffective. You may also use browser extensions to block web beacons.
  • 1.2. Some of the information that we require when you first access or register on the Platform is mandatory and essential to the provision of our services. If you do not provide such mandatory information, you may not be able to access some of the features of the Platform.

2. How we use your information

  • 2.1. Use of Information
    • Enable access and usage: Allow you to access and use the Platform.
    • Process transactions: Facilitate cash transactions to your RC Account and enable withdrawals (where applicable).
    • Participation in Games and events: Enable your participation in various types of Games and events on the Platform.
    • Service-related communications: Send you BestRummyinIndia service-related emails and notifications, including updates about changes to our policies or services.
    • Marketing purposes: Promote our services, as well as products and services of our group companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries.
    • Customer support: Handle support requests, including investigating transactions and issuing refunds (where applicable).
    • Internal operations: Conduct troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical analysis, internal training, and quality management to improve the Platform, enhance future game development, and refine advertisements. All such analysis is aggregated and does not pertain to any specific User.
    • User verification and identification: Verify and authenticate Users and their accounts.
    • Effectiveness measurement: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of promotions and advertisements served to you and others.
    • Personalization: Customize the Platform experience, including tailoring promotions and advertisements for you.
    • Customer support: Provide assistance and resolve queries.
    • Policy enforcement: Ensure compliance with our Platform Policies.
  • 2.2. Referral Program
    • Your name/email address in the subject line of the email/SMS sent to the referred person.
    • The referred person's name, mobile number, and email address to communicate with them.
  • 2.3. Optional Use
    • We may use your personal information for testimonials and other promotional activities.

3. How we store your information

  • 3.1. Information is securely stored and processed on servers located in India.
  • 3.2. Affiliates or service providers may store/process information outside India.

4. How we share your information

  • 4.1. We may share your information with various third parties who assist us in providing you with our services, including the following:
    • Service providers, such as information technology and payment service providers, whose services may form a part of or may be necessary for the provision of our services.
    • Advertisers and advertising networks that require the information to select and serve advertisements to you and other Users.

    • Entities that provide us with marketing assistance or entities that we collaborate with to provide you with rewards and other promotional offerings.
    • Entities that provide us with customer support services.
    • Entities that provide us with services relating to verification and identification of users and their accounts.
  • 4.2. Some of your information may also be made visible to other users with whom you play Cash Games on the Platform.
  • 4.3. We may share your information with subsidiaries, affiliates and group companies of BestRummyinIndia that aid us in the provision of our services and the functioning of the Platform, and for our internal business purposes including data analysis.
  • 4.4. We may share your information with law enforcement agencies, public authorities, or other organizations, if legally required to do so, or if such use is reasonably necessary to:
    • Comply with any legal obligation, process, or request from government or judicial authorities.
    • Enforce our Platform Policies, including investigation of any potential violation thereof.
    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address security, fraud, or technical issues.
    • Protect the rights, property or safety of BestRummyinIndia, our Users, third parties, or the public as required or permitted by Applicable Laws (including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud prevention).
  • 4.5. The service providers we engage are bound by agreements containing confidentiality and data protection obligations that require them to take sufficient technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information.
  • 4.6. If we sell or otherwise transfer our business or our assets, in full or part, to another organization (e.g., in the course of a transaction like a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or liquidation), your information may be among the items sold or transferred. The buyer or transferee would be obligated to honour the commitments made in this Privacy Policy.

5. How long we retain your information

  • 5.1. We retain your information for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services; thereafter, we may retain your information to comply with any governmental policies, our legal obligations, for fraud prevention, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and to protect BestRummyinIndia’s legal rights, subject to limitations under applicable law.

6. Your rights and preferences

  • 6.1. Access and Updation: You may access and update the personal information that you have provided to us by logging into your RC Account, and using the options available therein, though this may be restricted in instances where you are not able to verify your identity or there is any suspicious activity associated with your account.
  • 6.2. Withdrawal from providing information: You have the right to withdraw or decline your consent to the collection of any information you provide us at any time by writing to us at support@rummyculture.com. Please note, this may affect your usage and access to our Platform.
  • 6.3. Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your RC Account by sending an email to support@rummyculture.com or through the account deletion option available on the RummyCulture application. Permanent deletion will result in loss of access to the Platform and associated Services. After confirming your request, we will delete your RC Account and personal data, except where retention is required by applicable laws, regulations, fraud prevention, archive maintenance, or enforcement of rights.
  • 6.4. Communications Opt-outs: You can opt-out of marketing or advertising emails by sending an email to support@rummyculture.com.

7. Security and protection of your information

  • 7.1. We use industry-standard and legally mandated safeguards to keep the information collected by us secure. These measures include periodic reviews of our data collection practices, storage and processing practices, cybersecurity measures such as encryption, and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store Users’ personal information. We have a comprehensive information security program and information security policies that contain managerial, technical, operational, and physical security control measures adequate for the protection of personal information, including sensitive personal information.
  • 7.2. When you register with us, your account is protected by means of a unique password, which is known to or may be accessed only by you. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and RC Account information, and for controlling access to emails between you and us, at all times. Therefore, you should not provide your password to anyone. A breach constitutes a violation of the Platform Policies and may result in termination of your RC Account. If you become aware of or reasonably suspect any breach of security of your RC Account, including compromise of your password, you must notify us immediately.

8. Information relating to children

  • 8.1. The Platform is not intended or directed at anyone under the age of 18 years, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from, or allow the registration on the Platform of, anyone under the age of 18 years. Upon learning that we have collected personal information from a User under the age of 18 years, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under the age of 18 years, please contact our Grievance Officer in the manner provided in Clause 10 below.

9. Third party platforms and services

  • 9.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (“External Resource”). Your browsing on and interaction with any External Resource, irrespective of whether the link to such External Resource originated on our Platform, is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of such External Resource. We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other entity and this Privacy Policy will not govern your use and access of such website or service you are redirected to.

We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other entity and this Privacy Policy will not govern your use and access of such website or service you are redirected to.
